Honeywell Safes - Deal OnThe safe would have given my mother more peace of mind years ago - as it is basically a container that is both fireproof and waterproof. Thus, in the event of a fire the safe would keep most of its contents wear free from the fire for at least 30 minutes of direct exposure to an 800 degree flame! This includes data sensitive items such as CDs, hard drives and other devices that store digital memory. It may not seem like a very long amount of time but if this safe is coupled with other fire safety measures such as fire extinguishers, a fire alarm system directly connecting to a local fire station, and adequate fire training for the residents of the vicinity, then this greatly increases the chance of its contents surviving. What's more, the Honeywell Safes if bought from a reputable dealer actually comes with a lifetime replacement guarantee in the event of a fire. (This is kind of like insurance and a warranty combined in one.) Since most of the time the container doesn't really have to withstand intense flames, it really is a convenient safe that has a lock and certain models have a key feature too for added safety and security. It also comes in a good number of variety and sizes that enables it to cater to the needs of every individual or business establishment. I would like to point out again however, that a fire safe isn't the all out solution to protecting your key valuables - it is simply an added safeguard to all the other essential fire safety measures one must take which include fire training, fire assessment under the Fire Safety order of 2005 and consulting with fire engineers. If one stores valuable data in hard drives inside the safe and a fire ensues, do not attempt to retrieve the data yourself - obtain the services of data retrieval experts. Safeguarding one's valuables from a potential fire is indispensable. If we invest a lot of time and money educating ourselves about fire safety and buying the most sophisticated equipment, then it doesn't make sense to leave this one out. I do share my mother's sentiments when she said that she'd rather be robbed than be burned down for the same reason as hers. See more about Honeywell Safes.
